Ferienwohnungen - Sehnke Neustadt an der Weinstrasse - Experience of nature

NATURE EXPERIENCE PFÄLZERWALD

Nature lovers and hikers will be particularly pleased in the Palatinate Forest, thanks to a well-developed network of cycle paths and hiking trails. The Schiller Rock, the Dahner Felsenland (Palatinate Forest) - popular destinations in the Palatinate Forest are not only the numerous, well-preserved ruins of castles and palaces - the famous Hambach Castle can be reached on foot in just 25 minutes. Thanks to many managed huts, you can also do extensive hikes with light luggage. Moutain bike and bicycle tours are very popular, either sporty through the Palatinate Forest or more leisurely along the "German Wine Route" cycle path.

Nature reserves and other treasures

By the way, you can experience nature not only in the big Palatinate Forest, but also outside. The so-called Haardtrand, which slopes down to the Rhine plain, and the Rhine plain itself are home to an abundance of species-rich sections and areas, in whose periphery nature lovers also get to see a lot - if you know a little and are attentive enough. In the area around Neustadt an der Weinstraße there are several important and exceptionally large nature reserves - from dry to wet - everything is there. Neustadt is home to an unusually large number of nature conservation associations with different focal points, which also cooperate well. Nature conservation is correspondingly active here.
